The Junior Beats

The Junior Beats are four children who are kid counterparts of The Fresh Beat Band.

Description

The Junior Beats consists of four children, each one representing a member of the Fresh Beat Band. They dress and look similar to their Fresh Beat counterpart. While the Junior Beats do dress similar to the Fresh Beats, they seem to lack the little things that makes the Fresh Beats outfit unique.

Junior Twist

In Season 1, the Junior Beat that represents Twist is young white boy with brown hair (played by Ryland Lynch). He wears black pants, a yellow hoodie, underneath a blue shirt with white stripes, and his hair is spiked in the same style. Unlike Twist he doesn't have pockets on his hoodie and doesn't have the DJ symbol on the front. He also doesn't wear the same blue sneakers. He seems to be the oldest of all the Junior Beats in season 1.

In Season 2, the Junior Beat who represents Twist is a Latino boy. He wears black pants, a yellow hoodie with a blue shirt beneath, and has his hair spiked in the similar style. Unlike Twist he doesn't have pockets on his hoodie and misses the DJ symbol on the front. He looks to be the oldest of the Junior Beats in Season 2.

In Season 3, Twist's Junior Beat is played by Dylan K. Shepherd, who wears a yellow hoodie with white stripes along with a blue shirt underneath.

Junior Kiki

In Season 1, Junior Kiki, representing Kiki, is a young Latina girl who dresses like her counterpart. She wears a pink sweater with light and dark shades, paired with a white shirt featuring light pink stripes underneath. Her attire includes a dark pink dress with a floral decoration, light green leggings, and pink shoes. Like Kiki, she also wears bangs and a headband.

In the majority of the second season, the Junior Beat who represents Kiki is a young girl who a light pink hoodie, sometimes with a flower patch embroidered on it, along with a pink-and-white striped t-shirt underneath. She also wears teal-colored leggings and pink-and-white shoes. Unlike Kiki she doesn't have bangs but her hair is just as long. She is portrayed by Simrin Player-Keegan.

In the episodes "Car Wash Dance"and “Presto Pants”, Kiki's Junior Beat is played by a young black girl named Gabriella "Gabi" Crump, who wears the exact same outfit as the main season 2 Junior Beat, except she wears pink jeans instead of leggings.

In season 3, Kiki's Junior Beat is played by Aubrey Miller, who wears the exact same thing as the main season 2 Junior Beat, except the t-shirt shirt she wears underneath her hoodie are just stripes that are dark and light pink.

Junior Shout

In the majority of the first season, the Junior Beat that represents Shout is a young boy who wears an orange hoodie and a green shirt underneath. Like Shout, he wears brown plaid shorts and shoes and has short hair like Shout as well. He is a hip-hop/breakdancer, as can be seen while the Fresh Beats sing "Great Day". He seems to be the youngest of all the Junior Beats in Season 1. He is played by Jalen Testerman.

In the episodes "Doggone It", "Smoothies to Go Go", "March Our Way", and "Rhyme Time", an older African American boy acted as Shout's Junior Beat. Like the previous, he wears an orange hoodie, but this time with stripes on it. Along with the green shirt underneath his hoodie, he wears brown plaid shorts like the previous Junior Shout. Unlike the previous however, he wears plain brown shoes instead of plaid ones. His hair is styles in a mohawk, almost like his counterpart.

In season 2, the Junior Beat that represents Shout is a young Asian boy who, like the previous Junior Shouts, wore an orange hoodie with a green shirt beneath. Unlike the previous Junior Shouts, he wears shorts that are many different shades of brown. He, like his season 1 counterpart, is a hip-hop/breakdancer, as can be seen while the Fresh Beats sing "Great Day". He looks to be the youngest of the Junior Beats in season 2.

Junior Marina

In season 1, the Junior Beat that represents Marina is a young white girl with blonde hair. This Junior Beat wasn't incredibly similar to Marina. Like her, she wears the color turquoise. Unlike Marina, who wears a turquoise dress, she wears a long turquoise shirt and purple pants. She also doesn't wear a belt. Her hair style is long and straight and not curly like Marina's.

In seasons 2 and 3, the Junior Beat who represents Marina is a young white girl with red hair. This Junior Beat looks more similar to Marina then the one in season 1. Like her, she wears the color turquoise. She wears a turquoise sleeveless dress with a purple shirt underneath. She wears a purple belt and purple leggings. Her hair is styled just like Marina's.

Trivia

Whenever the Junior Beats of Kiki and Shout would have a replacement for those few episodes, the Junior Beat present for the majority of the season would still be present in "Great Day".
The first season episode "Stomp the House" is the first episode to feature the Junior Beats, not counting them being seen in "Great Day" in the previous episode.
In Season 2, the Junior Beats are replaced with new children.
Season 2 Episode "Circus Mojo" is the first episode that features the new Junior Beats.
Season 2, episode "Circus Mojo" is the first episode and first time the Junior Beats ever speak although in Season 1, they were heard saying a few words and laughing.
In the Season 2 episode called “Balloon Buddy”, The Junior Beats member Junior Kiki dresses simular to her due to her wearing a tutu.
In Season 3, they only changed Junior Shout, Twist, and Kiki actors but Junior Marina from Season 3 was Junior Marina in Season 2.
