Plot[]

Twist is seen pretending to play the trumpet in the lobby and parading around the room. He says that there will be a marching band parade at Music School, so he's practicing by marching around the room. Twist continues to march around the lobby, pretending to play the trumpet. Shout emerges from his room quietly and marches behind Twist, completely oblivious to his presence. Marina exits her room and marches behind Shout. Twist, strangely enough, is still unaware that Marina and Shout are behind them. Kiki comes from her room and marches behind Shout and Marina, prompting Twist to believe he has heard something. So he walks around the table, looking for something or someone, while Shout, Marina, and Kiki follow him around, but Twist still doesn't see them.

Twist continues to march around the room, completely oblivious to the presence of Shout, Marina, and Kiki. When he finally turns around and sees them, he is startled and falls to the ground. Twist, luckily, is doing fine despite collapsing to the floor. Twist gets up from the floor and asks about where Shout, Marina, and Kiki's have been the whole time. Kiki and Marina say that they had all been marching behind him the entire time. Shout is ecstatic about the marching band parade at Music School. As a result, the Fresh Beats play "School Days" to get ready.

The Fresh Beats went over to The Good Note Music Store to inform Reed about the upcoming marching band parade at Music School. All they need now, Shout says, are some really great marching band uniforms. Reed, at first, gave them cowboy and cowgirl outfits rather than marching band uniforms. So Reed gets them new clothes, but instead of marching band outfits, he gets them Scottish band uniforms. Finally, Reed has provided the Fresh Beats with appropriate attire: marching band outfits that are ideal for marching in. The Fresh Beats march on over to Music School now that they have marching band outfits. The Fresh Beats see their teacher, Ms. Piccolo, at Music School, where she has a variety of instruments for them to perform with. A bugle, a marching drum, a French horn, a trombone, a bass drum, a bassoon, a trumpet, and cymbals are among the instruments used. Twist was inadvertently carrying all of the instruments as Ms. Piccolo presented them. So the Fresh Beats and Ms. Piccolo take the instruments from Twist smoothly and carefully. Shout decides to play the trumpet in the parade, Marina wants to play the snare drum, and Kiki wants to play the cymbals.

Twist approaches Ms. Piccolo, who is holding a large marching baton, and asks who gets to use it. Ms. Piccolo goes on to explain that the baton is used by the marching band leader to lead the parade. One of the Fresh Beats, according to Ms. Piccolo, should lead the marching band parade. The Fresh Beats didn't know how to lead a marching band, so Ms. Piccolo informed them that the marching band leader directs the band on how and where to march. As a result, she enlisted the help of a group of students to visually present the information. Ms. Piccolo, who was leading the students, blew her whistle and yelled, "Forward march!" to signal them to march forward. Then she blew her whistle again and said, "Backward march!" to tell them to march in the opposite direction. She blows her whistle once again and yells, "Forward march!" as she leads the Fresh Beats and the rest of the students out of Music School and into the park. The Fresh Beats also sang the song "Get Up And Go Go" as they walked to the park.

Ms. Piccolo leaves the Fresh Beats and the rest of the students in the park to practice. So she hands the baton to Twist, and they begin. Marina recommended that Twist lead the marching band because he held the baton in his hands. So they practiced with Twist in charge of the marching band, but it didn't go as planned. Twist has everyone walking, whirling, and twisting wildly as he leads the parade. Twist then advises that Shout lead the band, so he hands the baton over to Shout, who marches and leads the parade far too quickly. The marching band is led away from the park, along the street, and into the Fresh Beats' apartment by Shout's rapid marching legs. Shout leads the marching band out of the apartment and into the street, passing by Reed, who is trying to cross the street but is constantly interrupted by Shout's quick marching band lead. Shout ultimately comes to a halt in his march. He realizes he's been leading the band a little too fast. Shout suggests that Kiki take the lead in the band. So Shout hands the baton to Kiki, and she begins to lead the band. When Kiki takes the lead in the band, she gets carried away and begins to dance. The marching band wasn't exactly marching, despite Kiki's stylin' dance moves. The parade was approaching its start time, so everyone returned to the park to plan how they would lead the parade.

Twist comes up with an idea for a spaceship to land on Earth, where an alien ant marching band leader can emerge from the spaceship and get their ant colony to instruct the Fresh Beats on how to conduct a marching band. Marina thinks Twist had a cool idea, but she, Kiki, and Shout disagree, claiming that one of them could lead the band in Twist's style by twisting and turning while marching, a bit like Shout by marching straight, and a little like Kiki by dancing while marching. Ms. Piccolo ultimately approaches the Fresh Beats and asks whether they are ready to lead the parade, and they say yes. Kiki wants Marina to lead the parade, so she hands her the baton and she accepts. The parade began, and the Fresh Beats sang "March Our Way" for the event.

The parade was over, and everyone had a good time. Ms. Piccolo compliments Marina on how well she led the parade. Marina hands Ms. Piccolo her baton, and the Fresh Beats, Ms. Piccolo, and Reed all high-five each other. Ms. Piccolo leaves singing "March Our Way," and Marina ends the episode by saying, "What a great day!"
