"Sing With Me" is an episode of The Fresh Beat Band from the first season. Characters Present[]Summary[]Kiki and Shout have to sing a duet for Music School. They are having trouble picking a song, because each one has a different idea of what they want to sing. Kiki wants to sing an opera song, while Shout wants to sing a rock "n" roll song. Twist, Marina and Reed have to figure out a way to help their friends come up with a compromise. Plot[]The episode starts off with Kiki in the lobby, wondering where Twist, Shout, and Marina are. She starts to sing and play her guitar as a way to get the others moving, and then Marina and Twist rush out of their rooms and pause, wondering where they were going to. Kiki reminds them that they have to get ready for Music School because she and Shout are going to sing a duet for Music School. The only thing is that Shout still wasn't out of his room yet. So Marina and Kiki play their instruments together as a duet in order to get Shout out of his room. Their duet-playing, of course, worked and got Shout go-go-going out of his room, but he eventually became puzzled about where he was going to. Kiki reminds him about the duet that they have to perform, and so the Fresh Beats collectively sing an extended version of the song "Get Up And Go Go." After the song ends, Kiki and Shout realize that they still need to pick out a song to sing for their duet. They both have differing opinions on what to sing, though. Shout wants to sing a rock-and-roll song, but Kiki wants to sing an opera song. They both comedically try to pick which song to sing, and it starts to make Twist go bananas. So naturally, the Fresh Beats sing the song "Bananas." The Fresh Beats finish going bananas, but Kiki and Shout still need a song to sing for their duet. The Fresh Beats all see Reed playing guitar at his music store, and they decide that since he knows a lot about music, he can help Kiki and Shout pick a song to sing. Kiki and Shout explain the songs they want to sing, and Reed agrees that they are both tough choices. Reed then proposes hearing both of the songs that they want to sing in order to get a better idea of which song to choose. Shout first sings his rock-and-roll song, and Kiki sings with him since it is supposed to be a duet. The song finished, and the song was so loud that it blew Kiki all the way to the park. Twist then proposed to Kiki for her to sing her opera song, and Shout sang with her. Shout was having trouble keeping up with the lyrics throughout the song, and he eventually got pulled away by someone with a big cane. After hearing both songs, Reed says that both opera and rock 'n' roll are great choices. That may be true, but Marina says that Kiki and Shout only need one song to sing for Music School that they can both sing together. Twist thought up an idea to get a song-mixing machine and mix both Kiki and Shout's songs into one song so they could sing together. Marina thinks that it's a cool idea, but she contrasts by saying that Kiki and Shout can just find one song they can both sing together. Subsequently, Kiki and Shout are still fond of their choice of songs. As a result, they are both engaged in a chaotic battle of the music genres they want to sing. Twist, Marina, and Reed eventually stop Kiki and Shout's chaotic song-battling and remind them that since they have two songs that they want to sing, they aren't singing as a duet. Kiki and Shout eventually come to their senses, and Kiki tells Shout that it shouldn't matter what song they sing, as long as they sing it together. So the Fresh Beats all sing the song "Two's More Fun Than One" to remind them of this message. After ending the song, the Fresh Beats arrive at Music School, and Kiki and Shout realize that they can sing "Two's More Fun Than One" as their duet. So they sang a shortened version of this song, and everyone enjoyed it. As usual, Ms. Piccolo loved it and said that Kiki and Shout's voices sounded fantabulous together, and she would listen to the Fresh Beats sing anytime. Songs[]Trivia[]
